Matthew Weltman currently serves as executive vice president of operations at STC. In this role, Matthew is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of STC, managing internal affairs and business support staff.

As an accomplished technology professional with more than 30 years of experience in the military, federal government and industry, Matthew brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the team.

Prior to joining STC, Matthew served as chief engineer at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center for seven years, and as chief engineer to the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics and Technology office. Earlier in his career, Matthew served in leadership roles at a defense contractor where he played a key role in acquiring multiple technology companies and raising capital investment to fuel growth. Under his leadership, the company experienced substantial growth, going from a negative profit margin to $30M in net income. He also fostered an environment of technology innovation, which produced a substantial amount of valuable intellectual property through smart R&D investments.

Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
